Uki is the gateway to World Heritage National Parks. The area provides a range of attractions including bush walking, swimming, canoeing, fishing and horse riding.  There is also an abundance of arts and crafts, weekend markets, many accommodation options, a host of alternative/natural therapy practitioners, and much more.

In Uki itself facilities include post office, general store, dentist, bookshop, collectables and gift shops, cafes, pie shop, laundromat, a technology centre, a holistic health centre, the Saturday produce and craft market as well as the monthly Buttery Bazaar, and reopened Mount Warning Hotel .  Many of the shops are housed in historical buildings from the early timber and dairy days.

The Uki Historical Society has a wealth of information about the area, and a local visitors information service is available at the Community Technology Centre in the old Norco Buttery.
