How has Uki changed?

School number down

More traffic (volume and speed) – especially heavy trucks

No increase in services

More focus on tourism in Main Street

Lose ‘nimbyesque’ alternative lifestyle

Proper planning provisions that differentiate from high density city living /no subdivision of steep hillside blocks / No more subdivisions / No new village west of Uki / Retain character etc by careful sustainable development / No development that would increase traffic / Not too much development / Stop the development / No unsympathetic development / No more small residential lots as at approach to bray Park / Cap on number of people moving in / No buildings on village green

Wards - Educate community on pros and cons

For whole of Tweed – allow 2nd dwelling on rural properties

Alternative retirement options

Water - No fluoridation of water / Look ahead how we use water – subsidized water tanks / No raising of Clarrie hall dam wall / Town water for Smiths Creek Road

Community views taken seriously

Dum Dum district renamed Uki

Lose the alternative crap

New publican

Variety of social classes and ideas

Ability to sell at front of house

No school drop off at Rowlands Creek

No composting toilets

Reliable power supply
