Uki Community Action Plan 2007
At the Community Forum held on Sunday 12 August the local community voted for their preferred Actions or projects to make Uki and District a better place to live. Many projects were identified and many eager community members raised their hands to get these projects started. It was very exciting to see so many keen community members. We should consider ourselves fortunate to have such a vibrant community. Well done!
These actions or projects are posted here. The start is "Community Action Plan" So have a look! (move your cursor with mouse over "Community Action Plan" above and click to go to start)
Now that the main actions have been identified, the next phase is to confirm the volunteers who want to contribute their energy to these projects and have a meeting to guide their energy in the best direction.
To begin this next important phase of the Action Plan, a meeting has been arranged for Thursday 6 September at 7.00pm in the Uki Village Hall
to which all volunteers are invited.
You are welcome along even if you simply just wish to know what is going on.
At the meeting Douglas the Facilitator will set out:
- how the process will be coordinated
- what the volunteers will be doing;
- the resources that will be available;
- the training that will be available to assist volunteers, if required.
You have been sent this email because you either volunteered to be involved during the last community forum or through the Community Questionnaire. There still plenty of space for new volunteers to come forward. If you know of some one who couldn’t make it to the last community forum or has not yet registered as a volunteer, it is not too late. Please let them know they are more than welcome.
If you have any questions or are not able to come to the next meeting but still want to be involved please contact Douglas on 6672 5554 or by email at jardine@better.net.au. or
Hope to see you there,
Douglas Jardine.
