ARTS COLLECTIVE

Ukitopia Arts Collective is an incorporated non-profit organisation founded in 2008.

The achievements in our first year were impressive: 3 Arts Events, an Arts Dinner, a Youth Arts Dinner and a Ukitopia Celebration: a day of music, dance and theatre.
We have a paid membership of over a hundred people and a website is currently under construction.

Our mission is to nurture, support, and promote arts and culture in Uki and district, through initiating events and programs that bring the arts to the community and the community to the arts.
We create opportunities for the wide range of local artists to develop, sustain and share their work with the wider community. We celebrate the unique flavour and atmosphere of Uki and district – the place and the people - and put emphasis on strengthening the community.

Our objective is to establish and develop a creative industries infrastructure (including the website), to provide opportunities for all sections of the Uki community for participation in creative programs, to assist the professional development of Uki and district artists and importantly to provide mentorship for emerging artists in our community, especially our youth.

We ensure that the actions of the Ukitopia Arts Collective are transparent and open to community consultations.

Most recently we had the Hall full to overflowing with the hugely successful Cabaret 360 for which people came from far & wide. Soon we'll have our member's Costume Party and when Summer is here it is time again for our Ukitopia Celebration Weekend with multiple performance areas, exhibits, street art, etc. Also, throughout Sept., Okt. & Nov. there are Creative Arts workshops in Music and Performance Skills, Sculpture, Painting, Puppetry, Photography, etc. Keep an eye out for the posters and other announcements.
